Have You Seen This Wild “Robot Bartender?” I’ve Got “BurgerBots” Too!

“Hey Robot Bartender – Make Me A Drink!”

Look at how cool this is: a ceiling of liquor bottles hanging over two giant Robotic arms, who will expertly make you a drink – and offer you up some nuts, too!

The bar is called “Tipsy Robot”, and when it opened at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas in 2017, it claimed to be the world’s first land-based bar to deploy robotic bartenders. If the technology sounds vaguely familiar, that’s because it has been used on Royal Caribbean cruise ships as well. Take a look:

Using tablets, guests select their drinks, which could be as ordinary as a gin and tonic or as fancy as a signature cocktail. You can pay by computer or to a Server as well…easy and fun!

It takes 90 seconds or less to prepare a drink, even if they need to cut a slice a lemon or lime as a garnish!

OK, this would be fun to watch, but I personally need the human interaction of a person who will make me a drink and listen to my tales of woe…or ignore me completely as some do…anyone else into Robots? How about a “Burger Bot?”

Check this out:

CNET Reporter Bridget Carey said it was her dream has come true: A robot cooked her a hot burger on demand.

Bridget tried the burger in 2020, and the company’s website lists all of the opportunities available for investors…I’d love to see these spread all across the country…why not? Here is a link to Carey’s entire story, where you will see her taste test and hear from the owner of the company as well…enjoy:

How do you feel about Robots making your food?

Robot Chefs!

In China, Robots make ramen noodles, and there is a restaurant where Robots serve you as well! Check them out here:

And of course, if you really love robots, then Tokyo is the place for you:

Bikini Robot Battles!

Yes, a bit of Las Vegas in Tokyo, robot style! I shared this look at the wild wild world of Bikini Robot Battles – see it here!

Finally, back to the future of your burger:

This Robotic arm will make hamburgers and cheeseburgers all day long with no break!

Would you have one?

Here’s a closer look at their “Burger Bot” as well as a “Noodle Bot” too!

All of this reminds me of one of the great “Robots Run Amuck” movies of all time!

Uh oh, this Robot is steaming mad – and a cold-blooded killer too!

See the trailer and more for the sci-fi classic “Westworld!”

  1. This is absolutely fascinating! 🤖 The Tipsy Robot sounds like such a fun experience, and I love the idea of robots making drinks and burgers. While I appreciate the novelty, I agree that nothing beats the personal touch of a human bartender. But I can definitely see the appeal of having robot chefs whipping up delicious food on demand! I’d love to see these burger bots spread everywhere.! 🍔🥂

  2. As cool as this seems, like you, I would miss the human interaction. I must say Boston Dynamics ‘gets it’ with their robots. They name their robots, like Spot the dog. That speaks volumes, plus a human connection.

  3. There will be more bars like this one in the future, as bar owners can save money by not paying any staff.

  4. All of these robotic innovations are fun to watch, but my first thought is always the jobs that will eventually be lost.

    Best wishes, Pete.

    • Pete, I agree….it seems these are more of a marketing ploy than a fully realized business model. the human touch, especially in a cocktail setting, is key…that drink is much more than just I part this and 2 parts that…

  5. I’m all about the human touch for drinks and food prep both, something is lost without the human connection

  6. Here’s my question . . . I get that robots are doing all the hard work, but is there any human interaction at all (as in is there a human there to hand you the burger or the drink and clean up the cheese that spills on the bun or the wipe up any excess liquor on the table.)? I would definitely try both. Technology has come so far. I’m actually surprised we don’t see more robots. Ha. ha.

  7. OK! OK! My age is showing but – tho’ all this is interesting and fun to watch and know – I want the human interaction especially as far as my drinks are concerned! Methinks all the unknown particles in my human mind would go on an ‘unhappiness strike’ once they found out the opposite side was ‘unreal’ 🙂 !
