A “Safari Slider” For #NationalBurgerDay – Recipes + “In-N-Out” Secrets!

Ten cheeseburgers with lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, and melted cheese on sesame seed buns on a long wooden board

It’s #NationalBurgerDay!

Yes, near the end of #NationalBurgerMonth, we have a special day to celebrate too – so let’s have some fun!

As you can see, burgers can come in all shapes and sizes – and with the craziest options you can imagine – but did you know they are such a worldwide sensation that I had one on safari?

My “Botswana Burger!”

Yep, I was served this amazing burger on safari in Botswana!

Oh, and these guys watched us while we ate – yes, there were hippos in the water next to our lodge:

Click here for my story of that adventure, with video of the burger and wet elephants too!

We had such a great time on safari, like when we did a massive outdoor cookout in South Africa:

It reminded me of the grill I used – albeit much smaller – to make homemade smashburgers!

Here are some of my favorite burger recipes to make at home – I shared these on New Year’s Day last year:

And if you want some great movie trivia with your burger, do you know what this is?

In-N-Out Burger restaurant with drive-thru line and parked cars
An In-N-Out Burger restaurant with cars in the drive-thru and people walking outside – thank you A.I. – it sure is!

So I went through the drive-through and decided to film my purchase in my car for you – but watch the disaster that ensues:

Well, that didn’t go as planned!

See what a “Double Double” is, and why In-N-Out has an “X” made out of palm trees at every store – there’s a movie connection!
