Meet Stephanie Soo…
Do you know Stephanie? She seems like a very nice person, poses well for pictures…oh, and she does THIS:
Stephanie Is A “Mukbanger!”
Well, this “What The Friday” even stunned me! Stephanie Soo has become an internet sensation by eating massive amounts of “mega-food” live on YouTube – and has millions and millions of views!
First of all, I could NOT love this more!
“Mukbang” is a live, online broadcast that has a Host consume large amounts of food while interacting with their audience. And the reigning “Mukbang Queen” is Stephanie Soo!
Mukbang burst on the scene in South Korea in 2010. And if you are curious if it’s popular, check out Stephanie’s stats:
Her YouTube channels 1.4 MILLION subscribers – with a total of more than 106 million views!
Like Sushi? So Does Stephanie!
Here is a video from her YouTube channel of Soo tackling a massive plate of sushi:
This is incredibly entertaining, and I found out about it thanks to Kelly Clarkson!
Yes, Kelly had a Mukbang Personality on her talk show a few weeks ago!
The Mukbang celebrity who goes by the name “HyuneeEats” was on the show! Check out this hilarious clip:
Thanks Kelly for opening my eyes on this wildly entertaining food trend from South Korea!
I had an incredible trip to Seoul South Korea years ago, and got to see some of the incredible street food in the city:

It is always interesting to see how people can eat so much but still metabolize the food really well.

Agreed. Very Bizarre…. Although.. I did have a lot of tiny Asian friends growing up who could just really put a lot of food away and never gain any weight… jealous! lol.

There’s no way she ways the whole lot though, is there? I can be pretty gluttonous but not sure I could get through all that!

Looking at the women, it seems they don’t really eat that much. How could they stay so slim?
Not sure I would ever just sit and watch a woman eating…Hmm…Then again, I could watch this woman eating any day of the week!
Best wishes, Pete.
