“Sky High” Martinis For The Weekend! Golden Winged Horses That Rotate While You Sip…Cheers!

Who needs a stiff drink to end the week?

A Vodka Martini with green olives, bathed in a green light, is just what I need after living through another week of chaos and uncertainty.

So, here’s a “sky high” pour of two Martinis to calm you down:

The Servers at The Grill in midtown Manhattan know how to do it….and if it’s more serenity you need, why not just watch the golden-wings horses rotate over the bar with your Martini waiting to be enjoyed…

That moving chandelier is from the iconic New York restaurant Tavern On The Green, located in Central Park!

I shared a number of cool drink preparations over my my “all food all the time” site..if you don’t subscribe to it, you can click here to see more videos, including one of a Mixologist who lights our drink – with his flaming finger…enjoy!

I also did a series of “life thru liquid” shots that captured the images behind the drink – you can see more of them here:

Sometimes it’s not only drinks that are fiery: remember this flaming dish I saw prepared in Sardinia?

It was just one of the many flaming dishes I shared…see them all here:

  1. Ah, so the Tavern is still there, but the horses have moved to the Grill – is that it?

  3. Generally I don’t believe in locking myself away from the world – but you just might enjoy that gin martini or two or three with your darling wife and nature this holiday break . . . bestest . . . !

    • Here in teh US the insanity is never-ending…crazy stuff you can’t imagine or make up…Idont believe in hiding from things either but a nice cocktail and conversation helps take it off the front page for a short while….thanks so much for the comment, always love hearing from you!

      • Don’t worry – we do get ALL the news from you and, being in the middle of elections at the moment ourselves, are more than aware and more than afraid! Had to laugh – one young female would-be on the Liberal (Republican) side enthusiastically promised to ‘Make Australia great again!’ much to the discomfiture of Peter Dutton, the Liberal candidate, who is losing votes because of the shenanigans of the Orange One across the :Pond!

      • What is truly shameful about the “make America great again” is what it suggests: when in fact, when we work with our allies around the world, we all improve by helping each other…the phrase suggests isolationism at its worst!

      • Totally agrees – it will take a long time for matters to return to ‘normal’ – if ever!

  4. That’s living the high life in style, John. Looks like an amazing place, and a gin martini would go down nicely right now.

    Best wishes, Pete.
