Look At This Spam Oreo Burger! McDonald’s China Has This Wild Food Mashup! Would You Eat It?

Is This The Craziest Burger Mashup Ever?

You all know that I share wild and wacky food mashups from around the world, but when my friend Bruce Evans sent me this, I thought it must have been a joke – but I was wrong!

Behold The McDonald’s Spam Oreo Burger!

It’s real everyone, and they have it in China!

McDonald’s is selling a sandwich that is made with two thick slices of Spam, which are topped with crushed Oreo cookies!

AS the Associated Press reports, this isn’t unusual for that country:

“Global brands from restaurants to automakers sometimes roll out offbeat products to appeal to Chinese tastes in the populous and intensely competitive market.”

“Offbeat” is the right word to be sure!

The AP spoke to someone who sampled this wacky sandwich – and the review was good!

“I thought it was delicious,” said a comment signed Feifei Mao Enthusiast on the Sina Weibo microblog service. “Is that because I love McDonald’s too deeply? Or is something wrong with my taste?”

In case you were wondering, this unique sandwich has two slices of Spam which are covered with crumbled Oreo cookies, then topped with mayonnaise.

Yum!

So, would you try it?

I would!

I’m open for all kinds of wacky stuff, and as you all know by now< I actually don't mind Spam – in fact, I cooked with it!

That’s right, I got a special edition can of Pumpkin Spice Spam and made some really unique bread, and if you click here you can see the recipe – and I will reveal how it tasted as well!

As for China, remember that they sell some very wacky Potato Chips:

Yes, these are “hot and sour fish skin” chips – and I would eat these, too! Click here to see their “Pepsi Chicken” potato chips as well!

The thing about China is they love their dumplings, like these:

Oh, except these are mini-cakes! Yes, there are bakeries that make their dessert sweets look like ramen, dumplings etc so you can splurge in private!

  7. My husband was talking about eating peanut butter and bacon sandwiches today, John, and that is an odd combination of tastes for me. People like meat with fruit sauces so meat and sweet flavours do go together.
