Behold The World’s Largest Burger!
Time to enjoy some food – BIG FOOD – because as you know, records are made to be broken!
A major world’s record was broken last spring…the world’s largest commercially available burger was made!
Steve Mallie is a Detroit-area restaurant owner of Mallie’s of course, and in April he broke the world record for the “largest hamburger commercially available” with a 134-pound burger. The “Absolutely Ridiculous Burger,” made with beef, bacon and cheese, was delivered on a 50-pound bun!

Here is trivia you need to know – flipping the burger took three men – and in order to do it they used two steel sheets!
And what do you do when you finish it? Well, you get a bunch of kids to stand next to it to show off how big it is!

Bravo to Steve Mallie and his team – I imagine it serves more than one…but these days, who knows?

Show Up Hungry!
Does this burger serve just one? How about these “mega mori” bowls from Japan:

I think that’s a bit much for a single diner, but who’s to know? See more “mega meals from Tokyo here:

I also shared Tokyo’s legendary “tower to heaven” burger, which really is a thing of beauty:

Again, not sure any single person could eat this, but it would be fun for a table of friends to take a crack at it…see more of this majestic, towering burger here:

And I end on a sobering note: here is an AMAZING chart that shows the changes in serving sizes over the years. I found this on the website “GrubGrade”…wow!

That jumbo burger is a good publicity gimmick, but it doesn’t look at all appetising.
As for the graphic, that has made me feel much fatter than I am already…
I think 2018 might be a lean year for me. Time to seriously cut back.
Best wishes, Pete.

Pete, I may do a story just on that graphic…there is a study that shows that portion sizes in the US went up 40% since 1980 – food industry decided if you can’t food to MORE people, sell MORE food to the same ones – hence our overweight epidemic!
