Paris Pre-Olympics 2024 Preparations! Here’s A Sneak Peek From the “City Of Lights!”

If You Are An Olympics Athlete – Paris Awaits!

There is perhaps nothing as magical as the Eiffel Tower lit up at night – which it will no doubt be for the Summer Olympics 2024, which begin in under two weeks!

My wife Alex and I got to the “city of lights” yesterday and Paris is getting ready for the main event…which will begin along the river Seine!

Alex shows off some of the seating begin installed along the river for the big opening g night celebration…it’s not too crazy here yet, but tourists are doing what they love to do which is jump on a boat to the Eiffel Tower!

Here’s one tour boat going under the Pont Neuf bridge on the river Seine, with Tour Eiffel in the distance:

There is much more to come in the next weeks ahead – so there will be more to share!

Last year when we were in Paris, there was an entirely different kind of colorful display for us. Take a look at the video we captured of the display! Oh and before you click it:

Note that about a minute in, two small planes approach and one flips over above the giant ferris wheel in the Tuileries!

Well, that was unexpected! We heard many people say it was indeed a preview of Bastille Day celebrations to come, and it was just one of the wild things we saw on this trip to Paris!

Yes, this giant statue of the visionary Japanese Artist Yayoi Kusama was wild indeed – click here for more pictures and video as well!

Paris is one of our favorite cities – and since my wife Alex is an acknowledged “lover of potatoes”, we spent one day tasting a wide variety of potatoes from a wide variety of restaurants in Paris!

  2. I think you’re wife might be onto something: Claim your opening ceremony front seat now. Ha, ha. The Eiffel Tower at night, during the day, whenever, would be fabulous. Can’t wait to read more of your posts. Have a wonderful time.

  8. We are still enduring the Euro Football and Wimbledon Tennis here. I don’t want to even think about the Olympic TV and news coverage to come! Paris is a great city to visit, but I wouldn’t want to be there during an Olympic Games.

    Best wishes, Pete.
