When will this great burger trend make it to the US? These are the questions I have at 7a…
Edible Wrapers! Go Brazil, Go!
Talk about a story that has circled the globe…kinda like these wrappers around their burgers!
I shared this a few years ago – a great new way to eat a burger – by eating the wrapper as well…why isn’t this a thing yet in the US?
A fast food chain in Brazil took its marketing campaign a step further recently with edible packaging that invited consumers to bite into the burgers without having to unwrap them!
The great website “A Hamburger Today” first broke the story, which included a look “inside” the wrapper to see the burger inside…
As you can see, nothing special…but now Bob’s has captured the world’s burger attention with the edible wrapper!
Playing on their tagline, “Não dá pra controlar,” which, loosely translated, suggests their sandwiches are so irresistible you can’t control yourself, Bob’s burger chain used an edible paper wrapper that allowed consumers to tuck straight into their sandwich and bypass the pesky added step of having to unwrap their meal.
Here is the news story for this incredible product:
I wish I could taste one of these…it doesn’t really matter if it’s any good, does it? Just dig into the fad!
And speaking of great burgers from around the world:
Meet Mike! He’s Making Cambodia’s Best Burger!
Yes, “Mike’s Burger House” in Cambodia is stacking their burgers into super stacks!
I love that Cambodia is giving up a big high-stacking burger – see more pics here:
Let me know what you think of these new burgers!

I’m liking Mike’s stack a lot! You always post these before I have had my dinner…
Not sure about the edible wrapper though. I would have to try it first.
Best wishes, Pete.

Pete, I’d love to go to Cambodia for one of Mike’s big stacked burgers…as for the edible wrapper, I assume it’s rice paper and would have that flavor…I’m up for anything! Thanks for your comment!
