Happy “National Cheeseburger Day”, Everyone!

I admit this day runs a VERY close second to Christmas as my favorite holiday of the year. On this 2016 “National Cheeseburger Day”, I want to share some of the greatest work in this field being done right now.

My friends, THIS IS WHAT A CHEESEBURGER SHOULD BE:

The recipe is simple: a fried beef patty that is topped with anything and everything that suits your fancy.

BACON OF COURSE!

You don’t need to go crazy with bacon, BUT IF YOU DID, it might turn out like this:

Still, that’s what makes a cheeseburger so much fun – there really are no rules…let me show you what I mean – let’s begin with some examples:

Chicago’s “Big Mack Daddy!”

I love when someone takes an iconic burger and pays a delicious tribute.

Big’n’Little’s in Chicago turns out an amazing “homage” to the Big Mac, and it’s a masterful bite of cheeseburger greatness!

A “Triple Triple” Worth $3,300!

If you are REALLY hungry, and want to make a few bucks, this place is for you!

As “Burgerbusiness.com” reports:

“Wayback Burgers will hold its ninth annual Triple Triple Challenge on September 18 at participating locations nationwide. Diners with big appetites are challenged to compete against the clock to take down Wayback’s nine-patty Triple Triple Burger. In my home town of Seattle, these “Burger Scientists” are always working on a great new burger, such as the “homage” to Seattle’s legendary Dick’s Drive-In and their “Dick’s Deluxe”:
