This incredible story of Ramen begins with a tweet – and this photo:

I didn’t know this until a few months ago, when I blogged about a Ramen burger:

Melissa was quick to point out how disgusting this looked. Then she shared this picture on twitter to emphasize how wrong Ramen is:

I respectfully disagreed and shared a story of much higher quality food to show I had taste and refinement. As a food fan, I am always on the lookout for the perfect meal…like the poached lobster mitts at The French Laundry…

When food is conceived, prepared and served perfectly, the world is a better place…

The Flip Side To Great Food…

That said, Melissa’s hated of Ramen did what she should have assumed it would – it sent me off on a search for the world’s worst Ramen – and I found it!

Yes, I found a restaurant that promises:

“Ramen That’s Too Disgusting To Eat!”

As the great website RocketNews24 reports, there is a Ramen restaurant that serves a Ramen dish described like this:

“So disgusting it’s completely inedible. Even the staff serving it is said to gag merely at its malevolently malodorous stench – all for the low, low price of 1,800 yen!”

Welcome To Hiroshima!

Yes, Japan has done it again, and this time they are doing it to Ramen! The restaurant is called “Ramen Kumagori” – and it is located in Hiroshima, Japan.

They proudly serve a Ramen noodle bowl that is, IN THEIR OWN WORDS:

“Ramen that’s too disgusting to eat!”

Oh, and it has mackerel, AS IF YOU’D MISS IT…

The Rules Of The Restaurant!

First, some rules – Melissa, stay with me now – first, the restaurants requires you to sit away from all of the other diners so they won’t throw up at the smell…and if you can keep the dish down, your meal is free!
