Here’s My New, Custom-Designed iPhone Cover!
Yes, I have finally upgraded my iPhone 11 – jumping up to the iPhone 16+ Pro, and that means a new, custom designed cover – the latest in my bacon-and-egg series!
The detail is really something! Here’s a look:
Why the upgrade? After all, check out this perfectly fine iPhone 11 cover I already had:

Well. even though this bacon’n’egg cover was holding up well, there was one big problem: every time a new iPhone is released, the size changes just enough to warrant a new cover!

Luckily. the terrific company “Fake Food Japan” offers a unique opportunity to customize your phones, keychains, or virtually anything you can imagine, and it’s done with the utmost professionalism and creativity!

Look at the ridges in the bacon, and the nice rise of the poached egg! I reached out to the company and they designed a new one for me, shipped it, and now it’s mine – until the next time I upgrade my phone again!
When Alex and I were in Tokyo, I took her to the street where all of the plastic food is made:

It’s the official location for “all things plastic food”, and you can buy all sorts of cool stuff like this plate of sushi!
The Artisans at Fake Food Japan worked with me on my “bacon and egg” idea, which they designed and then delivered in a beautiful case that surpassed all of my expectations.

It’s a conversation starter that wows everyone who sees it, and not only is the design and quality of the work superb, the team at Fake Food Japan were a pleasure to work with. Considering I ordered from Los Angeles, the communication was fast and efficient, and the price was very reasonable as well. I plan to order a variety of available items right off of their site to share as gifts, because they are truly unique works of food art!

I asked Justin if I could share his contact information, and he’s happy to hear from anyone!

I give this company the highest possible recommendation for quality of service and value.
As I said, I got to tour the incredible fake food palaces of Tokyo’s Kappabashi Street:

This district is fascinating, and one of the best things I ever bought was this:

Yes, I own a “plastic triple cheeseburger!”
If you want to know why this all exists, I give away all of the secrets in my story here:
And since you are in Tokyo getting some plastic food, why not the real thing as well – especially when it comes with this?
We had an incredible lunch, and after we were served, the Chefs performed for us!
See our meal and more of their musicianship here!
By the way, I’m not the only one who loves this “plastic food” stuff:

That’s right, kids wear plastic food on their heads!

I would love that bacon and eggs cover. I looked in Tokyo but didn’t find any of this fake food.

Do not eat bacon or fried eggs . . . but am truly smiling about what is available for those who do and have a more ‘modern’ sense of humour . . . blessings 🙂 !

My poor phone cover looks totally unappetising, I definitely need a fried egg.

I had one with two pieces of yellowtail sushi as well but it was so tall it shouldn’t fit in my pocket!

John, that new phone cover really does look good enough to eat!
(I have had the same Android phone for almost 5 years now, an Oppo A9.)
Best wishes, Pete.
