Would You Dine Sky High? Try Some Ninja Cuisine! The World’s Wildest Restaurants!

Who Wants To Join Me For Dinner? In The Sky!

Who’s up for an incredible dining adventure: you can eat dinner while dangling high above Dubai!

I read about this incredible adventure on the website “Travel Addicted Unicorn” – what an incredible adventure this would be!

First of all, here is your table:

22 of you are strapped in, then raised up by crane until you are over 150 feet in the air – and you get to enjoy a three course meal while looking out at Dubai stretching out below you:

Would you do it? This story is terrific, with a lot of great tips, like this one:

USE THE BATHROOM BEFORE YOU GO!

That’s right, there’s no bathroom up there! Bravo to “Travel Addicted Unicorn” for the story, she tells about the entire adventure with more pictures and tips – read all of it here:

https://traveladdictedunicorn.com/experience-having-dinner-in-the-sky-dubai/

I would PROBABLY do it, as I am open to all kinds of wacky dining adventures – and speaking of using the bathroom:

I admit that some restaurants are a bit too much for some, like this one:

Don’t Flush Your Main Course!

Yes, it’s a “Toilet” restaurant – all of the food is served like this!

I would do it…well, I THINK I WOULD…. but for everyone who “eats with their eyes”, this would be a tough one I think!

And how about this?

Ready To Dine Under Water?

Thanks to my friend Deb Jenkins for sharing this with me – a cool restaurant that serves food 18 feet underwater!

It’s located in the icy sea on the coast of southern Norway.

According to Good Morning America:

Restaurant Under, as it’s called, opens Thursday. It has a set menu that will rotate seasonally, but expect to see lots of fish and shellfish, plus food from the beach outside like sea arrow grass, sea rocket and salty sea kale. The local area is known for wild mushrooms and berries, and those will be used on the menu as well, according to the restaurant’s web site.

And what about this?!?!?!

Here’s a restaurant where you have to fight your way to your table!

Tokyo Ninja restaurant

Welcome To The “Ninja Restaurant” In Tokyo!

I actually ate here once, when we were filming with two “Ninja Warrior” competitors…you enter through a darkened passageway full of surprises…in order to get to your table, you must cross over rivers, avoid the trap doors, and most importantly, you must avoid one of these:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

“Ninja Akasaka” is a fun restaurant with a wide array of food, and terrific sushi! And speaking of sushi, what if you could eat at a restaurant where you catch your own fish?

Tokyo's unqiue restaurants

Welcome To Zauo!

At this restaurant, you are seated on a boat and you catch your own fish in a stocked tank below. Yes, you are seated, and then you are put to work!

world's most unique restaurants

I love the imagination of the Japanese!

But that’s not all, look at these unique restaurants! Let’s start with a roller coaster ride!

roller-coaster-restaurant

The Long and Winding Road!

Culinary Concept: Roller-coaster service. At this futuristic eatery in Hamburg Germany, the waitstaff is a thing of the past. Guests place their orders via a touch-screen computer at each table. When the food — which, according to the restaurant, is based primarily on local, organic ingredients and cooked with minimal fat — is ready, it zips to the table along a twisting track from the kitchen above!

And back home, I love this Seattle institution that has a very strict warning:

I love this!

You see, owner Ivar Haglund was a Seattle legend, and while he may have passed on, his legend remains!

Click here to find out all of the wild food shenanigans he was up to!

And when it comes to fiery food, remember when I shared this?

Yes, it was a flaming veal dish – and what about this Chef who does the same thing with ramen!

Click here to see where they have perfected this fiery dish!

And if you want danger, how about eating ON the Tagus river in Lisbon?

One wrong move and you “dine with the fishes!”

It’s worth the risk however as the food is incredible – see what we ate on the edge here:

And if you like dining on the edge, what about this Chinese restaurant?

Yes, that’s real and I’d love to eat “cliffside!”

  1. I think John, I will stick to my boring kitchen table and leave the exploring and challenge to the food preparation.

  2. What a collection of eclectic restaurants! This was so much fun to read, but I would be terrified of the platform high above Dubai.

  5. I would try most of these. However, I would be uncomfortable to be so far up in the air without access to a toilet, and I would not want to have to avoid a ninja to get to my table. 🙂
    Bring on the rest!
    Best wishes, Pete.
