The E3 – Electronic Entertainment Expo – Was Olivia Munn’s First Day At G4!
Yes, I found the first picture Oliva Munn took as a G4 talent – posing with her colleague Kevin Pereira on the eve of G4’s amazing live E3 coverage – from 2006 – but it seems like yesterday…
E3 2017 is upon us once again – this nonstop assault on your video game senses was one of my proudest moments working at G4: as a network we owned this convention, with live press events, exclusive new game previews and demonstrations, and a live, non-stop discussion of everything video gaming – and if you don’t believe me, just look at how excited Adam Sessler was…
Morgan Webb worked with Adam every day, so she was used to pictures like this – but for those fans who watched our coverage religiously – there is no doubt that this was the best quartet of talent to ever host a live show…
For all of my former co-workers from G4, this shot of our 2011 E3 convention coverage reminds me how G4 OWNED this event for years – up to 25+ hours of live television in four days, from beautifully constructed stages on the floor of the convention…
As with all live shows, there were a few memorable “rough spots”, but the team at G4 did an amazing job every year – an achievement no one else has come close to matching…with a dedicated team behind-the-scenes getting exclusives, breaking news, and delivering the most in-depth coverage of this convention ever seen on TV…
G4’s Amazing On-Air Talent!
As I said, E3 2006 was Olivia’s first day working for G4, and she joined Kevin, Morgan and Adam in hosting our non-stop live coverage – talk about being dropped into the deep end of the pool!
Along with these four, our incredible talent at G4 included Chris Hardwick, Alison Haislip, Kristin Adams, Zach Selwyn, Candace Bailey, Blair Butler, Blair Herter, Jessica Chobot-now-Herter and Sara Underwood among many others…all topnotch experts covering this convention like no one else before or after…
There are some amazing clips of this coverage online right now, including this conversation between Olivia, Kevin, Morgan and Adam, discussing their favorite games of 2010:
If you need more, there is a site that has archived entire shows, including this hour+ long clip from 2009:
For my G4 friends who are now working for other outlets, best of luck this week!
G4 also ruled Comic-Con as well with the same great talent – check out my story from San Diego here:
Looking forward to other G4 folks sharing some classic pics from E3 as well this week!

Not something I would ever have see here, John. It looks like great fun though, and a wonderful job too.
Best wishes, Pete.
