Behold The Mega Cheeseburger Pizza!
More wild pizza news coming from Japan!
Never one to be shy about topping a pizza, Japanese pizza chain “Pizza Little Party” will debut the “Megaburger Pizza” this weekend!
Weighing in at 2.65 pounds, the kooky creation features two 11-inch pizzas serving as buns, with burger patties topped with cheese, ketchup, mustard, and pickle slices. The best, as always, is the colorful japanese ad for the monstrosity…
According to A Hamburger Today, “the combined weight of the beef patties is 400 grams, or 0.88 lbs, so it’s about the same as topping a small pizza with four McDonald’s cheeseburgers (minus the buns), then slapping another small pizza, face down, on top of it.”
The Megaburger pizza will cost you ¥2,580 – that’s about $26 – and is a limited-time item, available only until November 22nd. Here is a quick glance at some of their other pizzas for sale…
I particularly love the one topped with a strange curly red line…since the entire menu is in japanese, I can only guess what is on these…but who cares? Let’s dig in!
Kudos To A Hamburger Today!
Thanks to the great reporters at the Serious Eats website, which houses “A Hamburger Today”…their whole story about this OTT Pizza exists here:
And if you REALLY want to get disgusting, how about THIS:
Creamed Corn Pizza!
the creamed corn and potato pizza, or the Taramayo, with Tarako (salted cod roe) sauce, squid, asparagus, potatoes, rice cake, and mayo.
Wait, MAYO on a pizza? Um, YES indeed!
What you are looking at is a hot dog pizza, topped with mayonaise and corn…it seems corn is a very popular ingredient for pizzas in Japan…
Thanks to a great website called “Smoosh”, I found a few other unique pizzas from Japan to share with you…like the hot dog pizza above, covered in japan’s favorite mayonaise…
Cue The Seaweed!
Yep, if creamed corn, hot dogs and mayonaise doesn’t quite give you the pizza of your dreams, then I recommend you fly to Jpan right now and grab this one…the seaweed pizza!
See the entire smoosh article by clicking here, but leave a comment and let me know which of these you’d eat – maybe all of them!
