Would You Eat A “Wanko Pizza Teriyaki Chicken?” It’s Made For Dogs, But Here’s A Delicious “Human” Taste Test!

Yes, This Is A Delicious “Dog” Pizza!

Please, don’t stop reading! This is deliciously creative and fun!

The terrific website SoraNews24.com has done it again!

The great pop culture reporting site from Japan focuses on a company called Pizza-La, a Japanese pizza chain that recently announced a pizza for dogs!

As they report:

Called the “Wanko Pizza Teriyaki Chicken“, with “wanko” being the colloquial Japanese word for “dog”, this was a local pizza that definitely warranted a taste test!

So of course, that’s what they did inter offices!

They go on to report:

Thankfully, a note in the pup-shaped image on the box indicated this pizza was made by Comif Deli, a company which makes food that can be consumed by both humans and dogs.

Easing our minds even further was a note on the back that read “This food is also suitable for pet dogs“, indicating that it was safe for pups and their human owners.

So, what is in this pizza? SoraNews24.com describes it this way:

The meal is based on the chain’s regular Teriyaki Chicken pizza, containing familiar toppings like teriyaki chicken, corn, mushrooms, and chopped seaweed. However, the base is made with chicken instead of dough, and is said to be finished with “a flavour that dogs like”.

So, head over to their website by clicking here and seeing just how funny their story is, and how good this actually tastes!

SoraNews has terrific stories about life in Japan, like this one I shared about some of the unique “capsule” hotel experience:

  1. I read about that you are moving to NYC. Are you buying a new house or is it just for a period of time?

  2. A pizza that can be eaten by a dog and the owner- brilliant! Any dog lover would want to have the same meal with his/her dog. Right? I would. On a side note, I read that the show is moving to NYC. Will you and Alex be back-and-forth?

  3. The name Wanko doesn’t have good connotations in the UK, but I would certainly eat it. I might even give some to Ollie. 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.
