Bravo To Video Artist “darwinfish105!”
First of all, let me say this:
I LOVE TOKYO.
I love the people, and I love the neon – like this street in Kabuki-cho:
It’s an amazing city to explore, with beauty everywhere you turn. And now, an Artist has taken Tokyo’s stunning imagery, and made it even more amazing:
“Mirrored Tokyo!”
Here is how RocketNews24 describes it: “Can a city be art? You might not think so, but artist “darwinfish105″ is about to prove you wrong with his breathtaking shots of Tokyo.”
So, thanks to “darwinfish105”, we now have this gorgeous surreal look at Tokyo, achieved by taking his footage and “mirroring” it to the left and right as well as top to bottom!
Here is the entire video as posted on vimeo:
And there is more!
“Tokyo Dreams!”
I looked up “darwinfish105” and discovered many more videos of Tokyo, all beautiful to watch, like this one, titled “Tokyo Dreams”:
And while it’s all in Japanese, you can also follow this Artist on his blog:

Just gorgeous stuff from an inventive Artist!
And of course, you all know how much I love this city as well:
Here is my post called “Tokyo, A Love Story”:
Here’s another way to explore Tokyo as well…by heading to one of the most unique districts known as Golden Gai:
This iconic district near Shinjuku has hundreds of bars, all of them so small that fewer than a dozen people can fit – click here to see my story about the district and how we were serenaded one night by the bartender!

Such a big, colourful and lively city, John. Quite different from Johannesburg. Whenever I go abroad, I always feel overwhelmed by all the people. Our population for the size of our country isn’t that high and there is a sense of spaciousness compared to other places in the world. I am sure parts of the USA are also like South Africa in that respect.

Yes, Robbie…I always share this fact: Japan has 150-million people, the US has more than double that….but the entire landmass of Japan can fit in the state of Montana!
