May Is National Burger Month! Here Are FIVE Great Recipes! Pastrami Burgers! In’n’Out! Shake Shack! The Big Kahuna! A “Squeeze With Cheese” Too!

Time To Celebrate “National Burger Month!”

I know what you are thinking: that I created this holiday…I didn’t, but I WOULD HAVE, because who doesn’t love a great burger?

May Is “National Burger Month!”

As this is an entire month of celebration, I will share many of my favorite burgers and recipes throughout the month…incluidng a look at some of these classics:

To start it off, it seems fitting to take you on a culinary journey to FIVE of the best hamburger stands in America…

Bite Down On Life!

OK, a bit of hyperbole, but I believe that the joy of food is what it’s all about – and so when you discover a burger like this one, you have to not only celebrate it, but share that discovery with others so they can enjoy it as well!

With that said, let’s get this tasty month off to a delicious start with one of the most unique burgers I’ve ever seen cooked!

Bite Into A “Squeeze With Cheese!”

Yes, it’s real, and they make it here!

The Squeeze Inn got its start in Sacramento California, but there are more outlets now, all making a wildly creative burger!

This incredibly unique cooking method has to be seen to be believed – and you can watch them cook it right in front of you!

Here’s the story of the “Squeeze With Cheese!”

Want to cruise down one of America’s most iconic highways – while searching for a really unique burger?

Astro’s Iconic Pastrami Burger!

This iconic hamburger stand on Route 66 in West Hollywood California has been serving up some of the most innovative burgers for decades…

And that includes a “Pastrami Burger” which is exactly what you think it is!

You can see what’s on their menu – and how much of it I managed to eat, by clicking on my story here:

If you live in certain western US states, then you know what this is:

In ‘n Out’s “Double Double!”

This is one of the most acclaimed hamburger stands in the country, but owners of In ‘n’ Out have decided NOT to expand nationwide, which makes their incredible “Double Double” burger even more coveted – you can see their story – and their menu – by clicking here:

In the past few years, one national burger chain has exploded across the country:

Try Their Shack Stack!

If you’ve had a “Shack Stack”, you know why this burger chain has grown so fast – they began in New York City and now are all across the country – and if you want to see their menu, and my taste test, just click on my story here!

Of course, sometimes in this pandemic life we need to make our food at home – so I have included a terrific burger recipe in my “Dinner And A Movie” series:

The Big Kahuna Burger!

I made this majestic burger based on the recipe from “Pulp Fiction”, and if you want to see how I did it – and more importantly make it yourself, just click here for the recipe:

  2. Your burger posts never get old. We just got an In-N-Out this year, and they are killing it. Maybe I’m living under a rock, but I’ve never seen a ShakeShack.

  7. Definitely the month for you, John. Now I want a burger of course, but I have already started preparing tagliatelle with a bolognese sauce, so that will have to do. šŸ™‚
    Best wishes, Pete.
