A Touching Eulogy From An Incredible Book About An Entertainment Icon! This “Wednesday Bookmobile” Heads To Hollywood To Celebrate Great Talent!

Welcome To Hollywood!

This “Wednesday Bookmobile” is heading to Tinseltown for a touching eulogy, plus an update about one of the town’s most iconic hotels…

The Definitive Story Of Director Robert Wise!

I shared this book a few months ago – Author J. R. Jordan has terrific behind-the-scenes stories about the legendary Director Robert Wise, including stories on the making of some of the greatest films ever, like “The Sound Of Music” and “West Side Story”…

The Author reached out to me to ask if I could share this update, as he has added an addendum to the book:

Addendum:

The book is dedicated to the author’s father. Joseph C. Jordan Jr. suddenly passed a short time following the publication of the original article. In Robert Wise: The Motion Pictures the author wrote, “Those I interviewed for this book generally described Robert Wise as noble, patient, validating, and a class act. Such words, in short, apply to Dad.”

Mr. Jordan’s wife, Rosetta, preceded him in death by 37 years.

Jordan goes on to add this about his father:

He missed her terribly and never remarried. The author was fortunately afforded the opportunity to be at his father’s bedside on the day of the passing. Prior to the moment of death, the author faced his father and said, “This is a special day. You’re going to be with Mom again.” Mr. Jordan’s face lit up, as his excitement was clearly apparent. He passed a short time later.

Wow. A terrific eulogy, and I am happy to share it here. If you want to read more about this terrific work, click on my story here:

If you really love stories about Hollywood’s greatest icons, then this is the book for you as well:

Vincent Price had an incredible career as a Horror film star, but he was so much more…did you know that at one point he curated artwork that was sold nationwide at Sears?

He has an incredible story and his daughter tells it, warts and all…you can click here to see more details:

When these big stars were in Hollywood, they all ended up here:

“The Castle On Sunset” tells the rich Hollywood history of the iconic Chateau Marmont Hotel on Sunset Boulevard – but sadly, the Wall Street Journal just reported that it is now being turned into a private club for Hollywood VIPs!

You can click here for more details and a look at this fascinating Hotel:

  3. My father loved the famous Vincent Price voice. The only reason I know all I know about film is because of Dad. I enjoy your blog so much as a result. Cheers for that John 👍
