Sushi Crunch Wraps! Sushi Burgers! Sushi Hot Dogs Too! WAVE Bistro’s Incredible Sushi Mashups!

Sushi Like You’ve Never Seen It Before!

I love sushi – and I love food mashups…so, as you can imagine, I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!

WAVE Asian Bistro & Sushi in Mount Dora Florida has a “SUSHI CRUNCH WRAP” that puts all the best parts of sushi into one fried package!

It turns out that WAVE loves to play with their food as much as I do!

Here is a link to the Foodbeast video of this delicious “Sushi Crunch Wrap” being made:

WAVE also makes this delicious-looking Sushi Burger as well, clearly with a “sushi rice” bun!

WAVE also has Sushi Doughnuts and Sushi Hot Dogs as well – and if you can’t imagine what a Sushi Hot Dog would look like, wonder no more:

The restaurant is located in Mount Dora, which is just north of Orlando, smack dab in the middle of Florida…not sure when I will get here, but with an incredibly unique menu like this one, I’d LOVE TO!

Now, I have posted about Sushi Donuts before, and they continue to fascinate me – I’d love to bite into one of these:

You can see more pictures and recipes of these incredible donuts by clicking on my story here:

As for “Sushi Burgers”, I plan to make one soon, but I also found a place in Los Angeles that made “Ramen Burgers!”

I tried one, and had their “Octopus Balls” as well – here is my taste test:

Let me know if you love the look of a “Sushi Crunch Wrap!”

If you enjoy these posts, why not subscribe and never miss out? It’s easy, and there are NO ads of any kind, just stuff I like…click on the main page and “follow” me on the upper right…

  1. You had me at hello… The innovation, the size! I know where we’re going next time we’re in Florida 🙂 Last time we went to the home of the kitchen sink (, though we didn’t try the sink!

  2. I’m a massive fan of food mash-ups as well (we’re planning on making an Indian takeaway-style pizza soon!) so this is right up my street! Those doughnuts are so pretty, and the hotdogs look sooooo good as well.

  5. John, you always share the most awesome foodie posts. I love sushi, but I must admit this size of this one will be my downfall, I will not be able to consume an 1/8 or such a HUGE portion. Tweety bird also visited

  6. Wow now that is a big portion but love the sound of that spicy crab mix and all those ingredients are ones I like …Made into a lovely little slider would perfect but I am guessing the size is for effect…Another great post, John 🙂

  7. Wow, what amazing looking food, John.

  8. I looove sushi! I *think* I would like this, but only if they still use really good quality fish! Sometimes I find with the ‘crazier’ sushi ideas, they they use the extra flavours to mask the bad quality fish…so it’s just not that good.

  9. Looks delicious and like something I would eat.

  10. I usually end up lusting after most of the food you feature, John. But the sushi crunch burger is not going to be on that list. I never developed a taste for uncooked fish, and doubt I will get it now. 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.
