Attack Of The “Mega” Earthworms!
OK, I peruse the internet and this is what happens…
Wait, WHAT ARE THESE CREATURES?!?!?!?
So I did some more research and thought:
“What The FRIDAY?????”
Attack Of The Giant Worms!
It sounds like a 50’s horror film, but it’s real!
It turns out the “Chernobyl-like” Earthworms are everywhere in Australia!
Here’s what I discovered:
“The Giant Gippsland earthworm averages 3 feet in length, but has been seen as long as 9 feet. It is native to the clay soil along streams in Victoria, Australia. The worms take 5 years to mature and live for about 10, surprisingly long for invertebrates. Unlike other types of worm, the Giant Gippsland rarely, if ever, comes to the surface, but its location can be detected by the audible gurgling that their bodies make as they slither through their labyrinthine burrows.”
Um, that could catch a LOT of fish!
Of course, wild and crazy wildlife in Australia is nothing new:
Yes, that is an Australian beach COVERED with blue jellyfish – but I have the solution: eat them!
Click my story here to find out why I have the answer to this problem!
Let me know if you’d pick one of these up!

Oh my word, John. I never want to see an earthworm that size or a beach that full of jelly fish.

Guess all those sci-fi movies with huge monsters need some type of inspiration.

I would happily handle those, John. Think how well they could turn over the soil in my small garden! 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
