As I said last year, John, I do love this film for its quirkiness and British feel. But it has never frightened me, to be frank. I watched it again recently on TV, and found it never loses its appeal.

Agree it’s not scary as much as fascinating and eerie…the remake is as bad a film as has ever been made!
