Yes, another day goes by and one more “biggest burger” record falls! More on that ia second, but first, more from that terrific website that is fronted by the voice of Patrick Warburton, also known as “Puddy”.
The Pioneer
There are 30 pictures of burgers on the http://www.cheeseandburger.com wesite, and they are all terrific – better still, each one has an interesting series of facts, delivered by the hilariously deadpan voice of Puddy.
There are also recipes, and of course, all sorts of facts about Wisconsin cheese!
The Pioneer, by the way, is this: Two burger patties topped with Wisconsin aged Swiss cheese, sautéed wild mushrooms, cremini mushrooms, rosemary, bacon, garlic aioli, and lettuce, on a sesame seed bun.
The Gypsy!
This is one of my favorite burgers. Cucumbers, ranch dressing, red onion and mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Here is the recipe for “The Gypsy”!
Ingredients:
1 pound fresh ground beef (recommend 75/25 or 80/20)
4 slices peppered bacon, cooked
1 small cucumber, sliced
4 slices red onion
4 slices tomato
2 T Ranch dressing
Shaved Parmesan cheese
Sliced Mozzarella cheese
1. Form beef into 2 patties and season. Place on grill and cook to your desired doneness. Add mozzarella cheese and melt slightly. Remove. Brown buns and remove.
2. To assemble burgers, slather bottom buns with dressing. Add onion, tomato, and cucumber. Add patties, bacon, and Parmesan cheese.
THE NEW RECORD HOLDER – THE WORLD’S BIGGEST BURGER!
THANKS FOR THE DAILY MAIL, WHICH YOU CAN FIND ONLINE HERE: http://www.dailymail.co.uk
BEHOLD “THE BEAST!”
The gigantic burger tips the scales at 15lbs and contains 18,000 calories – more than the recommended weekly allowance for a man.
Dubbed Britain’s biggest burger, it is a challenge for even the hungriest customer, packing seven pounds of beef, nine rashers of bacon and nine slices of cheese into a 12-inch bun.
You can drift into your own “meat coma” by heading to “Burgers at Blacks” in England
Bacon Biscuit Sandwich
Thanks to a posting by Eric R. on the website “This Is Why You’re Huge”, you can enjoy a nice southern style bacon dish: A Biscuit with bacon, gravy, and fried eggs. Yum!
Behold The “MacRib!”
Thanks to the creative mind at this website: http://headofrothchild.com/2011/11/02/make-room-for-the-mac-rib/
this is a mashup of a McRib sandwich and a Big Mac…well Headofrothchild, kudos are in order for you!
MORE THAN JUST A BACON BURGER!
AND THEN, THIS…The burger above might look fairly ordinary, but the patty is not ground chuck or ground sirloin or any kind of ground beef.
From the website Seriouseats.com – 100 percent ground bacon, skillet-cooked (“to avoid having it break apart on the grill”), and sandwiched between two slices of pepper Jack cheese.
AND FINALLY, BACON AS WORD ART…
Time to introduce you to Bacon Ipsum – http://baconipsum.com – and just what is Bacon Ipsum?
Here is what the website has to say: “Simply put, it’s a take on the lorem ipsum filler text used when doing design mockups. I was mocking up a web design one day and needed a few words to fill out a link. ”Lorem ipsum bacon” popped into my head, so I plugged that into my HTML. Later that day, it hit me. Make a lorem ipsum generator but use types and cuts of meat.”
Need an example? Well, here is what they offered up to me on the site:
Pancetta shank shoulder corned beef speck, cow tenderloin pig. Tongue pork belly swine t-bone brisket, sausage tenderloin. Hamburger jerky pork belly meatloaf, bresaola tri-tip fatback ham hock flank frankfurter turkey ribeye speck pancetta. Pastrami biltong ham bresaola rump. Frankfurter shank ribeye, beef ribs short ribs tongue pastrami. Andouille swine speck, capicola prosciutto meatloaf shoulder bresaola.
Shank rump venison ribeye salami corned beef. Chicken capicola corned beef bresaola ham. Prosciutto speck fatback shoulder bacon. Jerky pastrami hamburger, short ribs pancetta bresaola shank leberkas pork speck pig corned beef salami shankle. Corned beef chicken capicola kielbasa, filet mignon leberkas pork chop beef short ribs sirloin ball tip jerky meatball turducken. Chicken kielbasa ball tip, beef swine pancetta brisket corned beef pork short ribs rump ham bacon.”
Nothing else to add except to say, ENJOY!
