“Right Back At Ya!”

Yes, this is a wild black bear giving you a raspberry – tongue stuck straight out!

It’s all part of a terrific story that TheGuardian.com just shared – wildlife officials found these selfie photos on a camera left out in the wilderness to monitor wild animal activity – and they that and more!

“Get Ready For Your Closeup!”

The Officials decided to share these hilariously candid photos that one very “camera loving” black bear posed for – and posed and posed and posed!

As The Guardian reports:

“In this instance, a bear took a special interest in one of our wildlife cameras and took the opportunity to capture hundreds of ‘selfies’,” an open space and mountain parks spokesperson, Phillip Yates, told NBC in a statement this week.

“These pictures made us laugh, and we thought others would, too,” Yates added.

The bear can be seen from a number of angles, full face staring into the lens, just a paw, tongue out, a backside walking away and various other shots.

The department uses images recorded by the cameras to map wildlife habits and habitat, and to monitor land use and protection needs for wilderness areas.

Well, in this case they got so much more!

So, just how “camera hungry” was this bear?

The officials found more than FOUR HUNDRED selfies on the device, which is located near Boulder, Colorado!

I love this bear and this story – which reminded me that Officials also discovered that during the pandemic, bears made a dramatic return!

This surge in numbers was due, they think, to the dramatic falloff in tourism during the pandemic…see the story here:
