Paul And John Perform Together Again!
Thanks to a passionate Beatles fan, and Paul McCartney’s creativity and innovation, there is a new “Lennon / McCartney” performance out!
On Thursday night, Paul performed his classic song from “Let It Be” – “I’ve Got A Feeling” – during his new live “Got Back” Tour in Spokane!

The brilliant Director Peter Jackson, who made the critically acclaimed three-part documentary series “Get Back”, worked with Paul to take some of the 60+ hours of footage never seen before and fashion a live performance between the two!
Everyone knows the song, and at one point John sings his lines while Paul transposes his – and Paul worked with Jackson to sync his live performance with the live material from the “Get Back” sessions!
Enjoy!
Jackson took all of that material and created an absolutely riveting 6+ hour documentary that takes you deep inside the creative process of the band!

I remember reading your previous piece. I did not see the original documentary (sounds like that was a good thing), but I definitely want to see this.

Yes, the original only showed strife and arguing – then they magically stop up on roof and perform the songs flawlessly live…the 6+ documentary is a revelation into their creative music-making process -AND it doesn’t;t flinch from the conflicts, but in context they are much more understandable considering they were the world’s most popular band at the time.

HI John, I remember you blogging about this before. I was never that big into the Beatles, although I do appreciate their music, they were not the music of my teens. I have all my mom’s old records though.

Not one for me, but I am happy for your sake that they did it. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.
