Yes, Paul McCartney wrapped his latest world tour in Los Angeles on July 13, and his former Beatles bandmate joined him on stage for the finale!
As Variety reported:
“McCartney had just finished the first number of the encore, “Birthday” (worth noting: Starr’s was on July 7), when he announced “a surprise for us, a surprise for you, a surprise for everyone — ladies and gentlemen, the one and only Ringo Starr. … Are you ready to rock?”
“Ready to rock,” the guest confirmed. “Peace and love, everybody. (They’re) bringing out me drums,” he pointed out, as a set was wheeled out behind him, lest the appearance having been spoiled by putting a second kit in place any earlier.”
The two songs Starr joined McCartney for Saturday were “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)” and “Helter Skelter.”
Yes I was at the show July 13 on Saturday evening, what a Surprise it was to see ex-Beatles play together agin ,I’ll never forget this day !”awesome show ,Reynaldo j Martinez.
Lucky you! Yes, I saw him a few years ago – his band is incredibly tight, he clearly loves performing, and the song catalogue….wow, three hours and you know ALL the songs!
I was reading up on his band. They have been together a very long time and it shows. The only bummer was trying to get in and out of Dodger stadium! But well worth it.
He really cleaned himself up years ago, tours extensively with his “All-Starr” band, and has settled into his status as a member of the greatest music group of all time – no matter what Pete says!
Some chicks dig the drummer. This person did like the odd one out. Robin Williams and Nicholas Cage. The only conventional pin-up she had was Michael Land on and that’s just good common sense. 🙂
Paul’s backing band has been with him for a decade…they can really perform the songs…his voice isn’t what it used to be of course, but this is a bit of music history to be sure!

That is so awesome! Thanks for sharing. Only 2 Beatles left. Cherish them while they are still around. And still rocking after all these years….

Yes, there are many of our music legends no longer with us, and few new “legends” being made…thanks for the comment!

Someone told me once they had a crush on Ringo because he wasn’t as good looking as the others, so he might like her!

Macca and Starr! My least favourite Beatles. I’m glad you enjoyed it, John.
I have retweeted this for all the fans of the Fab Four.
Best wishes, Pete.
