Yes, Giant Clams Are For Sale – In A Vending Machine!

Some of you know that, based on my five trips to Tokyo, I love everything about the city – especially their vending machines!

Especially this one, which the intrepid Reporters at “SoraNews24.com” discovered – filled with fresh clams!

I can’t believe that this machine actually hold fresh clams – but as SoraNews24 shows, it does indeed, because they bought some!

Bravo to SoraNews24.com, which continues to take us on all of the fascinating journeys that makes Japan so unique!

See the entire story, including their cooking taste test – because they took those GIANT clams home and prepared them, by clicking on their story here:

  1. I’m not sure, John, if I’d buy seafood from a vending machine. I assume its refrigerated, but still …

  6. Oh my stars—wild and weird and kinda scary at the same time. Would you trust the freshness of the class in a vending machine sitting in what looks like an alley? Pickled flying fish? Eew! Amazing and bizzare-o. I’d love exploring the machines as well…but pass on eating anything in them, probably. (Hmmm, maybe I’d try the mashed potatoes??? Ha!)

  7. Wow these clams are so huge!!👀✨

I never seen a fresh clam vending machine(it’s because I used to live in “inland” area…well Japan is an island so sounds like all people got to be surrounded by ocean, but it’s a myth!!🤣) I tried a cup noodle vending machine, fresh egg vending machine…Do they sound interesting for you?😳

When I came to the US I was surprised to see electronics were sold in vending machine…I was like it’s a perfect example of the home country of apple and microsoft😂

  8. That clam machine is in such an unattractive back street location, it’s a wonder anyone buys clams from it.
    Best wishes, Pete.
