Truer Words Have Never Been Spoken!

Ah internet, you continue to inspire me – this “What The Friday?!?” has a REAL thing, and you’ll never look at ramen noodles the same way again!

Ramen Noodle Baths!

For those who have followed me for awhile, I reported on this funny trend a few years ago, and in researching it again, it appears it’s a fad that is destined to stay – and why not?

It’s healthy for you!

“The baths use a pork-based broth that is packed with collagen believed to improve the skin of patrons.”

Ramen Noodle Baths

You see, there are health benefits to this!

“Ramen noodle bathing” is not just for women, either: the internet is full of pictures of guys “ramen bathing” as well:

Even families have decided to get into the craze – yes, you can now bathe with your entire family in a large cup’o’noodles!

A number of websites have covered this trend, and all point out the health benefits of bathing in ramen noodles!

An Australian website also covered the story, with some funny pictures of people noodle bathing, and a recipe as well:

And because it is, after all, the internet, you will find ramen noodle bathing taken to a whole new artistic level as well!

There really isn’t anything to add beyond this, right?

Of course, ramen is very important to Japanese culture – so much so that they opened a ramen museum to celebrate the food:

Yokohama Cup Noodle Museum

Inside the museum are hundreds of exhibits highlighting the unique world of the ramen noodle…see more of this unique museum here:

Finally, my love of ramen led me to this kind of psychedelia:

Yes, “neon noodles!” This amazing “fluorescent ramen” is making a trip around the world – find out the details here:

  1. Sorry, interesting idea, but no I’m not bathing in noodles. I much prefer the health benefits of a nice bubble bath. Thanks for sharing, very entertaining.

  2. Well this is… Interesting! While I’m well into my milk, oatmeal, or tea baths, I think I might need a bit more convincing on this one! (Also wouldn’t it just be so tempting to eat the noodles while you bathe in them?)

  3. John, you are truly a different blogger. I love to read all these wacky stuff, but must admit that most of them I will pass by, even this one!
I am not even keen on eating noodles, so a noddle bath, I will pass.

    • I want to make sure you understand you don’t eat them as well, just bathe in them, for the healing properties…i did a volcanic mud bath twice, and it was hot and stinky so at least this would smell better! Thanks as always for commenting!

  4. Oh my! I think I have seen it all now! I don’t think this is for me but hey more power to those that do!

  5. It would make me hungry! Would you come out smelling like a cup of noodles? Stray dogs might be overly friendly to you after. Too funny!!

  6. Can’t say I’d do this… at least not in my own tub as it would be horrendous to clean up after. And, I think Epsom salt would do the same, health wise. To each his own, though.

  7. No accounting for anything the Japanese do…Not for me unless of course I was paid really well and then what the heck I would…As always you find the quirkiest of things to delight or dismay us…haha…Have a great weekend, John 🙂 x

  8. All I can think of is sounds like bathing with worms. To each, their own.

  9. I am not sure if this would hold appeal for me, John. An interesting idea, a bit like Cleopatra and her milk baths.

  10. John, I do remember this, and still couldn’t imagine having a noodle bath!
However, if the dark haired young lady in the third photo invited me to join her in that bath… 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.
