Skylar Grey Sings “Love The Way You Lie” – Incredible Live Performance At BottleRock 2019!

Skylar Grey’s Incredible Performance – In The Rain!

I was lucky enough to see the incredibly talented Singer/Songwriter Skylar Grey perform at Napa Valley’s Bottle Rock music festival in May.

Skylar performed her smash hit “Love the Way You Lie” – which was recorded by Eminem and Rihanna.

Grey wrote the song with Producer Alex da Kid when she felt she was in an abusive romantic relationship with the music industry. Eminem then wrote more lyrics, and Rihanna sang the chorus.

Here are some of the lyrics of “Love The Way You Lie”:

“Just gonna stand there and watch me burn
Well that’s alright because I like the way it hurts
Just gonna stand there and hear me cry
Well that’s alright because I love the way you lie
I love the way you lie
I love the way you lie”

Here is Grey performing the song live at May’s Bottle Rock music festival in Napa Valley California…yes, it’s pouring rain, and Skyler references this at the end as she is literally freezing on stage:

An absolutely gorgeous performance – and as you heard, she was freezing on stage! Her husband brough her a jacket so she could finish the show.

I shared a previous story about Skylar’s performance at Bottle Rock – you can click here to see her live performance of her classic song “Coming Home”, and I have the story of how she wrote it for one Artist but it became a mega-hit for someone else!

Skylar wasn’t the only Artist to blow me away – so did Jeff Goldblum!

Yes, this terrific Actor also has a swing band and they were a blast! See some videos here:

Kudos to Skylar for an incredible performance – in the rain!
