Welcome To Cabo!
Cabo San Lucas is a gorgeous resort city at the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur.
Cabo San Lucas, together with San José del Cabo, is known simply as Los Cabos. Even simpler, everyone on the west coast simply says they are going to “Cabo.”
It’s a roughly two hour flight from Los Angeles, and according to wikipedia, Cabo has been rated as one of Mexico’s top 5 tourist destinations – known for its beaches, scuba diving, and the famous sea arch known as El Arco de Cabo San Lucas…
My daughter Jessica and I planned a fun getaway to celebrate her completion of a huge work project, and we are staying at the Cabo Azul resort, which sits right on the water and gives you panoramic views like this:
The first thing we did was take a walk along the beach just before sunset – this will give you an idea of the beauty of this area:
Walking into the sunset, we passed a fisherman – I wasn’t sure how much action he would get from the beach, but when we turned around, two things happened: first, we got a beautiful pink hue over the beach, and our fisherman friend caught a fish!
With the incredible reflection from the water and the sun, Jessica and I got a “selfie” as well:
Back at the resort, it was time for a “Mango Margarita” as the resort lit up for the night:
Next up, we go snorkeling at “the rock!”

Wow–so beautiful! Wanted to let you know, I just nominated you for the Sunshine Blogger Award. I know it can be time consuming, but also kinda fun. No problem if the whole award post isn’t your style…just putting it out there!

Looks like an idyllic spot, John. And now I want a Mango Margarita!
OK, I will settle for a nice Pinotage instead. 🙂
