RIP to Steely Dan’s Walter Becker

RIP Walter Becker!

Walter Becker, half of the iconic music group Steely Dan, has died.

Becker wasn’t at the recent band performance in Los Angles, and reports are that Becker had been very ill and underwent surgery last month.

Becker was 67.

I took a look at the band’s first album a while back, and wanted to share it again.

  2. Another great one gone!
I still listen to them on a daily basis.
Was lucky enough to be neighbors with the Porcaro boys growing up and following their success Steely Dan was obviously a big part of that.
    RIP Walter.

  4. First I had heard. Now that’s a real loss to music indeed. The wonderful legacy lives on, played daily by me, and always in my head too.
    Best wishes, Pete.
