John Phillip Law was “The Love Machine”, looking very much like an “American Psycho” Christian Bale…this film was supposed to make him a superstar, but the huge box office bomb did just the opposite…
Dyan Cannon also starred in the film, which was clearly the “Fifty Shades” of its day.

I think the books succeed where the movies fail because reading it and seeing it play out in our heads-where we can maybe change up the characters and be as uninhibited as we choose to be since nobody is looking- is preferable to basically watching porn in a huge movie theatre surrounded by awkwardness. I could be wrong…
