Here is a “Jerseylicious” appreciation – and some important facts about the state of New Jersey!
First, here is the official style network page for the show, with tons of pics and videos…http://www.mystyle.com/mystyle/shows/jerseylicious/index.jsp
“Jerseylicious” premiered on the Style network in March of 2010. In the 23 months since, 54 hours of Jerseylicious have aired – including moments like this!
Meet Olivia and Tracy – oh, did you know they don’t get along?
Last season was launched with this dynamite poster, celebrating the dysfunctional relationship between Tracy and Olivia. The Style network team did an amazing job of promoting the show, including this huge billboard in Times Square:
Season 3 ended last fall with a dramatic reunion special, culminating in the dramatic moment when Gayle fired Tracy and Gigi! I can’t wait to see more on this in season 4…
NEW YORK CITY – PENN STATION!
A friend just sent me this picture from New York’s Penn Station area – with the huge new ad for season 4…
And Olivia just posted the pic above of her with the billboard in the background…
So, for fans around the world, it’s time to celebrate “Jerseylicious” again – as twenty ALL NEW HOURS of season 4 get underway! Congratulations to the entire cast and crew for what has been a great adventure so far!
BEAUTY IS WAR! PREPARE TO GET PULLED IN!
First of all, congratulations to the promotional team at Style once again, for another terrific poster for the show!
Here is GigI from “Jerseylicious”, standing in front of the block-long billboard in New York’s Times Square…and here is the ad in one of many magazines this week…
These images are on the mystyle website, and belong to them…my goal is to provide some commentary on the series to get you excited for the latest season!
JERSEYLICIOUS SEASON ONE!
It was less than two years ago that “Jerseylicious” premiered, and America quickly fell in love with the entire cast from The Gatsby Salon in New Jersey.
The “relationship” between Olivia and Tracy quickly became the center of the show…
Even though they did have a great time doing a skit with Danielle Fishel for the style show “The Dish.”
And they had a great time doing the weather on WPIX as well!
To celebrate season four, here are fun facts about New Jersey, plus behind-the-scenes photos of season 4 of “Jerseylicious”!
NEW JERSEY FUN FACTS!
Highlands, New Jersey has the highest elevation along the entire eastern seaboard, from Maine to Florida.
New Jersey has the most diners in the world and is sometimes, in fact, referred to as the “Diner Capital of the World.” I have eaten at the Mark Twain diner in Union, New Jersey…where you get a small cup of soup or salad to go with your main course, and they do, indeed, serve disco fries…
New Jersey is home to the best Italian hot dogs and Italian sausage loaded up with peppers and onions…
The first “Jerseylicious” spinoff was “The Glam Fairy”, which followed the life of Alexa Prisco and her team of Glam Fairies in Hoboken…this show aired on style in the fall.
New Jersey has 50+ resort cities & towns; some of the nation’s most famous: Asbury Park , Wildwood, Atlantic City, Cape May.
Gigi and Frankie went to Cape May in season one of “Jerseylicious”. Picturesque Cape May holds the distinction of being the oldest seashore resort in the United States and one of the most unique.
Gigi and Frankie broke up in Atlantic City…getting back together later in the series.
Atlantic City has the longest boardwalk in the world.
North Jersey is the car theft capital of the world, with more cars stolen in Newark than any other city in the US.
Olivia didn’t have her car stolen, and is shown here pumping her own gas, which is a no-no in Jersey, as you will soon find out…
Jersey tomatoes are known the world over as being the best you can buy.
Olivia and Gigi behind the scenes on day one of filming season 4…
The light bulb, record player and motion picture projector were all invented by Thomas Edison in his Menlo Park, NJ, laboratory.
Because of Edison, season 4 of “Jerseylicious” could be filmed…here is Tracy in a variety of fun pics she posted so far this season!
The New Jersey state seashell is the knobbed whelk, busycon carica gmelin, it is found on all beaches and bays of New Jersey.
Oh, and don’t forget: You are NOT allowed to pump your own gas in Jersey…
True. You can’t pump your own gas.
And to take a left, remember to follow what the sign says…
Most left turns are accomplished in New Jersey by taking a right, then looping around and heading to the left…just follow the signs.
Episode one of season 4 gets off to a “hair-raising” start, thanks to Olivia…
New Jersey was home to the Miss America Pageant held in Atlantic City.
I like this lineup better…
Of course we all know that Bruce Springsteen is from Jersey…
And so was this guy…
And of course, so is Anthony Lombardi…wait until you see what he’s up to in season 4…
So far on “Jerseylicioius” we saw Gatsby Salon owner Gayle become a Grandmother, and her daughter Christy become a Mom…
So many memories in the two years since “Jerseylicious” began, and so many more to come…congratulations to the entire cast and crew, and good luck for season 4!
