For those who aren’t watching closely, CBS just cancelled Stephen Colbert’s late night show, announcing they will pull the plug after next season.
It’s the highest rated show in late night, but they allegedly did it to appease our despicable President. Guess what? They did it before. Here’s that story:
Categories: Books / Media, Memoirs, Politics, Pop Culture, Talent/Celebrities, The Beatles, The President Of The United States, True Hollywood Mystery, TV Show
This is so concerning, but I know that Colbert will find another avenue because he is so important and popular. The capitulation of major media platforms to the whims of Trump is awful, but unsurprising. Sad times.

I’ve been thinking about you folks, and the concerns Alex expressed about TV finances these days…even without having a spineless network!
Can’t wait to see you in just a few weeks!

This has been big on the news here in Australia also. Rather naturally we do not get the Stephen Colbert Show here in Australia (or may do so late at night?) but the message has been clear!

I’m old enough to remember when this happened with the Smothers Brothers.

So much for the freedom of the press and the media. We must never forget that’s how it all started in Germany during the 1930s.
Best wishes, Pete.
