Journey To Italy With Clint Eastwood! Ready For A Shocking “Black Sunday?” The “Trip To Italy” Movie Blogathon Has More!

Day Two And Three Of The “Trip To Italy” Movie Blogathon Are Here!

This poster sums it all up: American Actor Cameron Mitchell headed to Italy to work with the legendary Director Mario Bava – as this great blogathon looks at Actors who went to Italy for the work!

Goregirl shared five classic Mario Bava films, all intense shockers including this classic:

Not all of the films are focused on cult cinema…Maddy at Film And TV Corner shared a great romantic drama with Bette Davis:

As you can see, they took perfect advantage of Venice Italy as a backdrop….and Rachel at Hamlette Soliloquy serves up an Italian Spaghetti-Western with Clint Eastwood – the film that made him a star:

Check out these reviews and many more as well – just go to day two of the “trip to Italy” blogathon here:

Krstina from Speakeasy is also hosting the blog, and she has a great look at the films that were featured on day one of the blogathon – lots of great reviews here!

And now Day #3 has posted as well!

The final day of the Blogathon arrives with some classic Italian Giallo, as well as Fellini’s “8-1/2” and more! See if all here:

I took part in this exercise by sharing an Italian shocker from 1977:

I own this one on DVD and for good reason: it’s a terrific thriller! See the trailer and much more here:

These films were all made in Italy, but there are some that made use of Eastern European locations like Hungary as well. Need an example?

Look at this cast! Richard Burton slumming it up with Joey Heatherton, Sybil Danning – and a Raquel Welch cameo as a sexy Nun!

The film was shot in Budapest – but guess what? Some of it was shot in Rome so it’s a fit for the blogathon – and what a wild wild film this is!

See the madness here:

Thanks to Gill and Kristina for putting on this “journey to Italy” blogathon – again, check out their blogs for many more entries!

  3. Hitch-Hike is one of those movies I bought on a whim when I saw it available in a new blu ray a number of years ago. Of course, I’m a big fan of Franco Nero so that’s what drew me in. I enjoyed the film!
