Have You Seen New York’s 16 Story Suitcases? Here’s The Wild Louis Vuitton Decor!

A 16-Story Stack Of Suitcases!

What a store facade!

Louis Vuitton’s flagship at the corner of New York’s prestigious 5th Avenue and East 57th Street is being renovated and expanded – the end result will nearly double its footprint along what’s known as “Billionaire’s Row.”

But look at this! The company took a wildly creative approach to masking the construction site – it created a faux facade of oversized Louis Vuitton trunks, its signature item!

What a terrifically creative idea!

Here’s some video that captures the scene:

As one news outlet reported:

“This installation however isn’t without precedent. Last September, Louis Vuitton did the same thing at their Paris Champs-Élysées store. Pietro Beccari, Louis Vuitton chief executive, was the mastermind behind that attraction.”

How do I know that? Because I captured it!

When I was in Paris for the opening night of the 2024 Summer Olympic Games, I caught sight of this block-long suitcase!

It’s just one of many cool things I discovered this trip to Paris:

Like A Paris Canal!

Thanks to Napoleon – yes, THAT Napoleon, Paris has canals!

Here’s what we discovered on a walk through the city one day!

Back in New York, the city is “lit up” for the holiday season!

So many lights, check out some of the majesty here!

It’s the season for holiday cheer – and humor too – like this meme that reminds us “placement is everything!”

Oops! It’s just one of many funny memes I have for you – just click here for some holiday cheer!

  3. That’s a cool look. I didn’t know anything about the Louis Vuitton building. I wonder if it would feel claustrophopic inside. The only windows I see are on the first floor.

  6. Mark me down as suitably impressed! I once took my (second) wife to the LV shop in Paris to buy her a wallet/purse for her birthday. The cheapest one they had for sale was the equivalent of two week’s salary for me at the time. But I bought it because she loved it so much, and she was still using it after we were divorced.

    Best wishes, Pete.
