Haunted Halloween Decorations! From Killer Doormats To Brownstone Ghosts!

Who’s Dressing Up The House For Halloween?

It’s that time of year again, when carved pumpkins, ghosts, skeletons and all sorts of Halloween fun start showing up on houses all across the country…and that’s very true here in New York City!

I came across this terrific decor on a “brownstone” building in New York. these are classic New York buildings, usually 4 stories, no elevators, and brownstone facades with steps leading up into the first floor of the house. Take a look:

And my friend Kristen shared this bathroom shower curtain, a perfect way to celebrate Halloween – would you want to see this going into someone’s bathroom?

For some probably a bit too much, but I love that!

I also love this one: created to offer the illusion of Pennywise, the killer clown, waiting to greet you at the door:

Careful Where You Step This Halloween!

Well, how can you not love THESE? Welcome mats with a scary clown inside!

Make sure you don’t step on Pennywise! Or this guy!

Well, it IS that time of year, and this does indeed say “Halloween Is Here” – oh, and if you REALLYwant something that actually SAYS Halloween, you can buy these as well!

I know that many of us won’t be able to “trick-or-treat”, but at least we can capture the “spirit” of Halloween, no matter how evil those spirits are!

Hilarious!

And what about this?

That’s right, you can buy special projectors that make it seem like evil spirits are in your house!

I’m always looking for the next cool thing to celebrate the season, as everyone loves to dress up – me especially – you know, like my favorite food:

Count me in! You can click here to see all of my favorite food-based Halloween outfits!

And once you are dressed up, why not settle in for a ride on the “Terror Train?”

This is a fun Halloween shocker starring Jamie Lee Curtis – see the trailer and more here!

  5. I do like Halloween and scary spooky stuff in general … but, I have a very longstanding, deep phobia of something that is included here so I scrolled through very quickly once I saw it. I love displays like this but brace myself for being confronted with my phobia so I’m torn between both loving/hating them, haha!

  6. Your joy about this stuff is infectious, John. It’s great that people who want to really go all-out for Halloween have so much to choose from. (Not so much as a single pumpkin outside our house of course)

    Best wishes, Pete.
