Would You Sleep Inside A Capsule? What If It Was “All You Can Drink?”

Have A Good Night’s Sleep – In This Capsule!

Some of you know that I am fascinated by “capsule hotels” in Tokyo…tiny narrow beds stacked like this:

If you don’t know, you rent the small capsule bed and get a shared bathroom and shower, plus somewhere to store your clothes…they are used by Business people who find themselves in Tokyo so late they miss the last trains home…and now, one capsule Hotel has a great offer for thirsty customers:

The terrific site SoraNews24.com has the story of a capsule hotel chain with a novel offer….they write:

“Having stayed at the Tokyo locations, which are largely for men only, with the exception of the Ginza Shiodome location, which is a women’s only inn, we were keen to try out the Kyoto branch of the chain, seeing as it’s the only location that accommodates both men and women. Located about a 90-second walk from Exit 3 of Karasuma Station on the Kyoto Line, or Exit 19 of Shijo Station on the Karasuma Line, this hotel has received rave reviews online, and it offers an artificial hot spring, mist sauna, lounge, soft drinks, and alcohol, all free of charge.”

That’s right: free booze!

SoraNews24 shared these photos inside the hotel showing the free booze that you can enjoy before slipping into your capsule bed for the night!

I’ve never stayed in a capsule hotel – not sure I ever woudl – but this offer makes it a lot more intriguing to be sure! Bravo to SoraNews24!

If “capsule hotels” aren’t for you, what if you could have your own portable capsule like this?

Yep, find a secluded spot and live inside this egg!

Of course all of this reminds me of another type of incredible getaway I could use right now:

Talk About “Sleeping With The Fishes!”

Cool or confining? I’m torn on whether I’d want to stay in this “underwater hotel room” – what about you?

Here’s my story about this underwater hotel, where you sleep in the deep! Read all about it here:

I love how people have found ingenious ways to make use of “available space”. Perhaps the best example is this:

Amazing outdoor pools

Yes, don’t let being stuck at home in your skyscraper keep you from doing some laps in your own pool! Read all about these amazing “skyscraper pools” here – as Phil Rosenthal visited the world’ longest infinity pool:

  1. The capsules might be a bit claustrophobic, but the infinity pool is cool.

  2. It’s a great idea, although I’d pass on the confined space. Thank goodness for their free booze, right? I would definitely want to sleep underwater and watch the fishes.

  3. Don’t think I’d mind the capsule, but don’t think it would be practical to drink too much when you habe to get in and out of that thing

  4. don’t think I could sleep in that confined of a space, but this one has really kicked it up a notch!

  5. A little too confined for me…..when I went through the hyperbaric treatments I had to take a Xanax to get through the hour…..chuq
