China’s Wildest Bridges!
OK, take a moment and look at that photo again…were they drunk when they built this – or just plain brilliant? What an amazing bridge!
Let’s watch this video showing it off:
Here is how the video describes it:
This bridge, located in the Shenxianju Scenic Spot in Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, is named “Ruyi Bridge”, with a total length of about 100 meters and a vertical height of more than 140 meters from the bottom of the canyon. The entire bridge body is made up of three wavy bridge decks staggered, like three waves intersecting on the canyon, and the collision formed the shape of the current Ruyi Bridge. If you look closely, it really looks like a jade Ruyi shape, no wonder people call it it. For the “Ruyi Bridge”. The entire bridge deck is made of transparent glass.
Why am I so fascainted by China’s bridges? I mean, a bridge is a bridge is a bridge, right?
WRONG!
I have become a bit obsessed with some of thw wild and wacky bridges that are being built in china!
The “Ruyi Bridge” was designed by He Yunchang, a steel structure expert, who was also involved in designing Bird’s Nest, the main stadium of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Bravo!
I alsohave shared this hair-raising bridge:
Yes, it’s just for people, it also crosses a vast canyon – and it’s not only made of glass, it cracks!
Yes, IT DOES:
Check out my story on this bridge that is also a thrill ride!
Of course, as terrifying as these walking bridges are, what about this hiking trail?
Well now, who wants to do this hike with me?

I’d walk the bridges because I’d assume they were stable enough. However, I wouldn’t go on that hiking trail!

No, no, no. The Ruyi bridge is beautiful to see, especially with the clouds, but I’d be chicken.

I’d love to hike across this bridge…I was in a 90 story tower once with a glass floor that jutted out and it didn’t really seem high at all! Thanks for commenting!

HA! I think it would be so fun – they are very creative with their architecture over there…just hope it’s really secure!
