How Would You Like To Hike THIS?
As you know, I love to travel and experience new cultures. I also love to see cool stuff like this – the world’s longest pedestrian bridge!
When you hear about “hiking the Swiss Alps”, this might not be what you imagine.
The longest pedestrian bridge of its kind IN THE WORLD just opened in Switzerland, running 1,621 ft. long – almost 1/3rd of a mile, crossing over a valley between the towns of Zermatt and Grächen.
The company Swissrope designed the Charles Kuonen Suspension Bridge to be higher (and therefore longer) than its predecessor. At its highest point, the bridge is 279 ft. above the ground – 30 stories!
Oh, one thing to know – this is how wide it is:
26 Inches!
Yep, it’s only two feet across, so plan accordingly! Still, I’d do it in a heartbeat – what incredible views!
Absolutely stunning! What a cool life experience this would be!
I actually had an experience somewhat similar – 550+ feet above Utah!
Yes, we climbed a Via Ferrata and then crossed a suspension bridge – here’s what that was like – yes, I recorded it as I crossed!
Want to see what it took to climb that high?
Clcik here for the whole story:
It reminds me of another bridge I shared with you – you remember, the one is China that is ALL GLASS?
How cool is that? Oh, and remember when they revealed that is was CRACKING?!?!?

I would have to try that bridge, John. My only concern would be meeting people coming in the other direction. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

Yes, that’s a funny bit – they do it on purpose but it has to be unsettling to be sure!
