I want to share this list which includes Sean Connery’s 6 official James Bond movies from “Dr. No” to “Diamonds Are Forever”, as well as the unofficial Bond film “Never Say Never Again.”
Bravo to The Cinema Critic! Here is his take:
It was an interesting experience getting to rewatch the James Bond movies and ending them with the Sean Connery films instead of […]

Hi John, I didn’t know there were any unofficial Bond movies. My favourite bond movie is Goldfinger, but I haven’t seen the recent ones. My husband watched the new Top Gun movie today and he said it was predictable.
I was going to take on all of the films in chronological order – through a modern filter, as some point to the sexism in the series – deserved but not egregious considering…I am someone who HATED the most recent Bond film – and found Daniel Craig FAR too dour…
A worthwhile endeavour but I would plead with you not to use too modern a filter. That is part of their charm – that they are of their time – even if some bits do make us wince nowadays. I agree with you about the last Bond film; tried far too hard to be a ‘serious’ film and thus failed as either an action or psycologically-minded film! I hope they make another though!! 😉
Sorry that was my point: to use the filter to examine what is criticized today but perfectly acceptable at the time…we can’t put our modern filter on previous generations of films…there is so much that is somewhat offensive about “Blazing Saddles” for example but that was kind of what the satire was pointing out!!!
Ah ok, understood!! 🙂
And I agree about Blazing Saddles – it was clearly meant as a lampooning of attitudes and sterotypes. Successfully too, if I remember is alright!

Only six films? He was so perfect as James Bond, it feels like he made many more Bond movies.

I’m not a big Bond fan, but I do think Connery was the best one of the Bonds.
(I preferred the books to the films, to be honest.)
Best wishes, Pete.

Pete, I have several of the original books on my iPad because they had a huge sale on them!

It was an interesting look – I was a very young boy when my sisters took me to a Sean 007 double bill and I was hooked!
