Not a film genre I really enjoyed. But I do love ‘Zatoichi’, and would not have included an historical samurai drama like that one on a list of Martial Arts films.
Martial Arts films were so popular int the 1970s, and so was the series on TV starring David Carradine, ‘Kung Fu’.

only one I’ve seen is drunken master and I loved it, though now I really want to see kung fu hustle!

It is terrific! Also Bruce Lee’s Chinese Connection and Enter The Dragon is a GREAT introduction to the genre!
