Grab A Coffin And Spend The Night At Dracula’s Place!
Yes, this was real!
A few years ago, someone was lucky enough to stay at Dracula’s Castle overnight!
In 2016, AirBnB had a Halloween contest, and here’s what was posted:
“I am Dacre Stoker, the great grandnephew of Bram Stoker, author of the legendary Dracula novel. I am a vampire expert and passionate advocate of my great grand-uncle’s novel. Bran Castle is where the legend of Dracula was born and I am thrilled to welcome and guide you through the dark passages of the castle for a private unveiling of its many mysteries.”
Oh, and in case you wondered what the Castle looked like:
The offer went on to add:
“A horse-drawn carriage carries you swiftly through Transylvania as the sun sets towards the horizon, heralding the hours of swooping bats and howling wolves. When you come around the final bend on the tree-lined road, you’ll catch a glimpse of Bran Castle. This misty mountain-top manor is home for the night. The chill that suddenly fills the carriage is not the evening mist, it’s a fear older than the forests now grown up around the castle rock. This is the lair of vampires, and you cannot leave until dawn.”

Sorry to say, but only daylight visits are happening this year! Still it looks gorgeous, and there is still a lot of cool stuff to see!
Doctors and nurses with fang stickers on their scrubs are offering free Pfizer shots to all-comers at 14th century Bran Castle, which is purported to be an inspiration for the vampire’s towering home in Bram Stoker’s novel “Dracula”.
Excited to see that it is once again open to visitors!

I think I’d stay up all night roaming the castle looking for secret chambers and tunnels…why? I don’t know because I probably wouldn’t like what I found in them! Thanks for commenting!

This castle looks like a marvelous experience, John. I wonder if there are things to scare the guests. I don’t think I’d be that keen on sleeping in a coffin though.

I’d climb in for the photo op, but I don’t think I’d sleep at all – I’d just wander the entire place! I don’t think they do any “additive” elements, other than decorating, lighting and the coffins!

I would do it and probably be equal parts thrilled and frightened — it would be an incredible experience that I’d love to share.

I would definitely be up for staying the night there, and sleeping in a coffin. That would be a night to remember!
