The NEW Beatles “Let It Be” Movie Goes To Disney+! A SIX HOUR Version For Thanksgiving! Here Are Details Plus The Sneak Peek!

Here’s The “New” Beatles Film “Let It Be!”

What an incredible holiday gift!

Breaking news today that Disney+ will exclusively air this new re-cut version of “Let It Be”, the 1970 documentary that showed the band in crisis.

The original documentary seemed to focus on the band’s disagreements and distractions more than it did the music…but Jackson has changed all that!

A Six-Hour Cut!

That’s right – the new documentary will be three times as long as the original!

Jackson’s long-in-the-making Beatles documentary will debut in three two-hour episodes over three days – November 25, 26 and 27 – exclusively on the Disney+ streaming service!

Director Peter Jackson shared a sneak peek at the incredible, meticulous re-edit of the original “Let It Be” documentary – from more than 56 hours of footage never seen before – and it’s a revelation!

These recording sessions resulted in one of music’s most iconic moments – when the band performed live for the last time on the roof of a London office building!

This is a revelation – if you are a fan you will be stunned by this!

Here is the incredible five minute montage, with an introduction by Director Peter Jackson:

As you can see, this is radically different from the original documentary, which focused almost solely on their moments of tension..you can see more about that documentary by clicking on my story here:

That clip was so much fun. It’s understandable that the original documentary focused so much on the band’s differences because that is fascinating, but it always has to come back to the music. I know I’ll be a viewer.

  3. OMG, I am THE biggest Beatles fan. What a gift to be born in 1950, the perfect age discover the Beatles in 1964. I’ve never looked back, and every year I introduce my preschoolers to the Beatles, playing my original record albums. They love them! Thank you for the sneak peek at the movie, John. I hope they span all the years, soup to nuts.
