I Think I Have A Bacon Obsession!
Well, at least many of you do!
You see, I’ve been getting tagged all over social media with these pictures of something I know we’d all love to make and eat:
A Bacon-Wrapped Deep Fried OREO!
In the past two weeks, I’ve had half a dozen people send me this picture – and I am happy to have gotten it!
Who doesn’t love an Oreo cookie, and now imagine doing this to it:
I’d do it, although it will have to be when Alex is nowhere around…it continues the internet’s trend for things that are “bacon-wrapped”…you know what I mean:
I had a bacon-wrapped hot dog on a stick in Seoul, South Korea – because what else are you supposed to do?
It was delicious, by the way.
Remember when I told you about this?
Bacon-Wrapped Pickles!
Yes, bacon can be used to wrap just about everything!
Bacon-Wrapped Food Madness!
I can’t wait until the world opens up again and we can head to our local State Fair, where everything is wrapped in bacon! Most of these pictures were from State Fairs of years past, and once we can go again, I expect a new and “out of this world” bacon-wrapped “thing” to emerge.
By the way, you can read all about the bacon-wrapped pickles and amazing deep fried Krispy Kreme Sloppy Joe’s as well by clicking on my story here:

Also, with Thanksgiving right around the corner, don’t forget this:
The “Maple Glazed, Bacon Wrapped” Turkey!
I have made this, and it is delicious! Will I do it again this year? Well, it’s pretty high up on my possibilities list, along with the incredible White Castle Cheeseburger Stuffing!
You cannot knock this until you’ve tried it, because it’s truly amazing…here is the recipe for both to get you salivating:
And finally, still need more “bacon-wrapped” inspiration, then check THIS out!
A “Bacon-Wrapped” Burrito!
For me, the distinctive “bacon lacing” is what makes this stand out to me…who’s in?
You can click here to see the recipe:
Thanks again to everyone for feeding my bacon appetite!

I also like bacon, John. A bacon burrito sounds great but I’m not to keen on bacon wrapped Oreos. I am not a fan of sweet mixed with savory.

Bacon is my guilty pleasure and I add it or wrap whenever I can and sometimes when I can’t /shouldn’t…sigh…however a bacon-wrapped oreo is a step too far…

Agree…bacon doesn’t need sweet to counter its smoky goodness!

Linda, I actually shared this a few years ago but for some reason the image popped up again and everyone keeps sending it to me! I guess they assumed it would resonate! Hope you are staying safe and sane! 2021 is going to be so much better for us!

I love your bacon posts, John, though they are best viewed when dinner is not too far off so they don’t make me hungry. Luckily, I am only two hours away from eating a steak pie with assorted vegetables, and cauliflower cheese on the side. I have chosen a bargain-price Garnacha to accompany my repast! 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

That sounds like a terrific meal! I was watching an old British Bake-Off on Sunday and was inspired to make a salmon/leek/potato pie because of one of their challenges…a nice Pinot did the trick as well!
