What’s This New Treat Being Waved In Front Of Cinderella’s Castle?
Well, you know that Disneyland has some of the best Churros around, so what did they do? They came up with something even MORE POPULAR!
“Churro Toffee!”
Yes, it’s the food mashup that’s taking Disneyland by storm! Of course, the terrific website “FOODBEAST” had the story!
As Constantine Spyrou of FOODBEAST reports:
“When you think of iconic Disneyland snacks, there’s Dole Whip, Mickey-shaped pretzels, and the ever popular churros. Disney has long played with different variations on churros, but one of their ideas that debuted in 2018, churro toffee, has exploded to a fan favorite beyond anything Disney employees have seen before.”
She goes on to report:
According to Disneyland Resort Candy Production Manager Monica Weda, the squares of churro-flavored toffee have become one of the park’s top-selling items, and the most successful item that she’s seen in her almost eight years working in the candy production team.
“The churro toffee has been Candy Production’s number one selling item consistently, week over week.” she told Foodbeast. “I’ve never seen a treat over the last nearly eight years that has had popularity this strong and consistent.”
Here’s The Recipe!
If you’ve had a Churro, you know it’s sweet dough that is shaped like a long snake, deep-fried and rolled in sugar and cinnamon.
Disneyland’s Churro Toffee is made by coating squares of toffee with white chocolate and then dusting it in the same cinnamon sugar used in their regular Churro.
Disneyland admits the new “Churro Toffee” is selling like gangbusters, so expect it to be seen everywhere soon!
How this product was created is as interesting as the product itself, and to find out how that happened, head over to FOODBEAST and see the rest of Reporter Constantine Spyrou’s terrific story – click here:

I’m all for food mashups, although some of them are indeed head scratchers – need proof?
How about this deep-fried Big Mac on a stick?
Yes, it’s a “Deep Fried Big Mac On A Stick!”

I do love churros, but I think the toffee one looks too sickly.
Then again, I live so far from Disneyland that I am never going to find out. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

This is very tempting, John. Disney is just 20 minutes drive from my home. I may just hop over for this treat!

Sounds good but I like traditional churros to dip into hot chocolate. As for the deep fried Big Mac – we deep fry everything in Scotland. Macaroni cheese in a pie then deep fried, Mars bars coated in batter and deep fried. It may explain the obesity problems we’re facing!

Well, I always say “anything in moderation” but I guess once it goes into the deep fryer, moderation is out! Thanks for commenting, I appreciate it!

Disney must be smiling from ear to ear, John. A huge revenue spinner for them.
