You Can Own Hollywood History! Roy Rogers Ranch! Roy Rogers, Dale Evans And Trigger’s Home Can Be Yours!

Who Wants To Live Like A Star?

Well, if you want to buy some celebrity real estate, the time is now!

As the Los Angeles Times reports: Roy Rogers’ Double R Bar Ranch in Victorville is for sale at $3.7 million.

The 65-acre working ranch is also a film set and wedding venue as well! It was once owned by singing cowboy actor Rogers and his wife, actress Dale Evans.

The LA Times reports:

“The sellers added an entire Wild West set with a saloon, a blacksmith shop and other structures.

The red barn contains Rogers’ old workshop, a kitchen, restrooms and a bridal room.

Three houses with a total of six bedrooms, six bathrooms and 4,639 square feet of living space sit off the Mojave River near old Route 66.

They include a 1,900-square-foot main house, a 1,400-square-foot detached guesthouse and a 1,300-square-foot bunkhouse.

Seventeen horse stables, a half-mile racetrack, garages, a campground and grapevines that Rogers planted during the 1960s complete the grounds.”

Roy Rogers was, for a time, one of Hollywood’s biggest stars – he got his start in radio and made a number of hit films and television shows including “The Roy Rogers Show,” which was on the air from 1951 to 1957. The show’s well-known closing theme serenaded viewers of that era:

“Happy trails to you, until we meet again.”

His horse Trigger was so popular that he even had his own biography written about him!

His wife Dales Evans was known as an Actress and Singer. They were one of the most famous couples in America, They both lived on this ranch until their deaths decades ago.

Now, if this is out of your price range, but you still want to own a piece of the wild west, maybe this is for you:

  1. These cowboy-style movies used to be so popular. Not so any more. I remember watching a few with my dad while growing up.

  2. That’s exactly what I’m looking for! In any other state than California. I have about $300. Sigh.

  3. What a fun place to visit. Would make a great state or county park! 😊

  4. I think I’m going to take a pass at this one. The western lifestyle isn’t quite for me. Interesting pictures though.

  5. I lived in SoCal for 18 years and never went to the ranch. Was always on my “shoulda list”. But BeetleyPete is right – there’s nothing in Victorville but dirt.

  6. Roy’s place appears to be good value, compared to some. But I checked out Victorville, and other than some nice Art Deco buildings, there’s not too much going on… 🙂

  7. I know Roy Roger’s. My mom was a big fan of his. She said “We used to go to the movies and cheer like made when the cowboys came on.”
