Eli Roth Welcomes You To Shocktober Day #4!
Yes, Director Roth could be on this list many times – for the classic “Hostel”, his debut “Cabin Fever” – even for his terrific thriller “Knock Knock” with Keanu Reeves – but I chose his homage to the legendary shocker “Cannibal Holocaust!”
“Have you ever had fantasies of saving a tribe?”

And for our latest Shocktober film, Roth proves that “good intentions” are NEVER appreciated – especially in the cannibalistic Amazon!
Director Eli Roth delivered a vicious little horror film last year that paid homage to one of the most controversial movies ever made!

So, my caveat is that I don’t do horror. I was once a talent agent with a rather large Global Agency and my mentor commented ‘you, Osyth, are the ideal audience. Because you believe everything you see. I recommend you don’t watch horror. You need your beauty sleep, honey’. I have respected his words ever since 😉

Great advice! This countdown is for a select group of followers, that’s for sure! I try to mix it up with horror, suspense, cult, creepy, etc. Totally understand the “no horror” zone!

It’s fine … I just closed my eyes and moved on!!! I’m sure you will have something that I enjoy in your film repertoire and meanwhile you already delivered the Pan Am Experience which I am quite determined to do!

Thanks! Again, some offbeat films you can pass by, but I also post a lot of food, travel, books and whatever seems interesting, so hope you enjoy!

Don’t worry. I’m a loyal follower. Once I take a decision to follow someone (which I don’t take lightly) I go with the flow and enjoy the ride 🙂

I commented on the original post, but have still not got around to seeing ‘Green Inferno’ yet.

Pete, it’s a pretty good movie and doesn’t try to push the envelope too far – not a “scary” film as much as a shocking journey kind of thing – thanks for the comment!
