Yes, this theme park is NOW OPEN!
Yes, A “Watery” Roller Coaster!
Oh, how I love all things Japan. Here is the latest example: a water park that includes a “hot springs roller coaster!”
As the intrepid Reporters at RocketNews24 report:
“The city of Beppu, located in Oita Prefecture on Japan’s southern island of Kyushu, uploaded to YouTube a video of people enjoying a day at an amusement park. Two things, though, made the proceedings very different from a day at Tokyo Disneyland or Universal Studios Japan.”
“Beppu is one of Japan’s premiere hot spring (or onsen, in Japanese) resorts. Because of that, every park-goer in the video was dressed in a towel, and the rides and attractions were filled with hot spring water.”
Yes, a roller coaster filled with water! Of course, you don’t have to take my word for it.

I remember you posting about this before. My two worst nightmares, roller coasters, and being wet!
Best wishes, Pete.

Pete, my original post was the story of the plans for the park, and I had to re-blog because it actually IS open to the public now! My wife saw the picture and said, “this isn’t real, is it?” Oh yes, it’s Japan!
