Breaking burger news to share – look at what McDonald’s is trying out down south!
McDonald’s Testing $1 McCruncher
McDonald’s cheeseburger (shown above) gets dressed up as the “McCruncher” in test markets.
On May 4, BurgerBusiness.com reported that McDonald’s had filed a federal trademark application for the name “McCruncher.” This website about the business of burgers now has an update:
In selected markets including several in Alabama, McDonald’s has begun testing a “McCruncher” cheeseburger. It dresses up the long-neglected plain McDonald’s Cheeseburger. I don’t personally know of anyone who eats a plain McDonald’s cheeseburger, but here is what they are doing to it: It gets white Cheddar, a zippy Chipotle Ranch sauce and crispy onion strings for crunch…the report says the cheeseburger is still being sold for just $1.
Anyone from the south seen it? Anyone up for crispy onion strings on a burger?
THE AUSTRALIAN SYDNEY STACK!
And what about this? An Australian burger from McDonald’s that clearly shows a slice of beet on it – which is what you must have on a burger if you are down under…this is from a McD worker, the ingredients in order, top to bottom:
Bun Crown
BBQ Sauce
Slivered Onion
Shredded Lettuce
Beetroot Slice
Tomato Slice
Pineapple Ring
Slice of Cheese
Rasher Bacon
Seasoned Patty
Bun Heel
So it has beetroot AND a “rasher” of bacon!
French McBagels!
And what about these: McBagels from france! The bagel Bacon looks loaded up with swine, but on a bagel? OK folks, you are on your own from here!
