Welcome to the most iconic TV studio in the world! This is 30 Rockefeller Plaza in mid-town Manhattan…where a ten story holiday tree greets thousands and thousands of visitors during the holiday season…
As you can see, the skating rink at 30 Rock is open and closed, and the holiday spirit is all around you – in many cases PACKED ALL AROUND YOU!
Here’s some video of the festivities – plus a look at Frost’;s Christmas Bar in nearby Times Square:
Frosty’s in Times Square is a wild, 3-story collection of holiday spirit – and yes, you can drink lots of holiday spirits at the bars on each floor!
Directly across from the 30 Rock Christmas tree, Christian Dior and Saks 5th Avenue have a big surprise:
They have teamed up to put on a spectacular light show on the outside of their building – take a look!
What an amazing way to enjoy the holiday season!
New York really goes all out to make the city feel like Christmas:
There are displays everywhere – so much to see – here’s a look at some of what I came across, plus a look at how the season kicked off with the annual Thanksgiving Day parade!

You post about the tree, and today I’m reading a Christmas story about that tree – Red and Lulu. It’s a wonderful book about two cardinals who live in the tree. 😍
Wow, how wonderful is this?! So festive. I’ve never been to NYC, but I know in the future I’d like to make at least two trips, one specifically to celebrate Christmas. So dazzling. Thank you for sharing!

Pete, the entire mid-town area, from 30 Rock to Times Square ( roughly 8 blocks away) is PACKED day and night! Festive but very slow going!
